(Historical Notes: I know I’ve told this story a lot elsewhere, but it bears repeating.  Half the reason this set of comics exists is to correct a big mistake Past Me while planning everything out.  Originally, I drew Layla and Trigger looking about the same because they were SUPPOSED to be the same age, with Layla only being “the big sister” in a figurative sense.  But then I realized that made no sense, and used these incentives to establish that Trigger is several years younger than Layla.  And then I had to ALSO establish that Layla’s not that tall to explain the lack of height difference.  And it absolutely works for her character.)
