(Historical Notes: Yeah, remember what I was just saying about saving the “flashback” tag for when characters specifically look younger than normal? Well, that sure doesn’t work here, does it? Also, I suppose it’s worth mentioning that I hadn’t fully committed to retconing the whole Layla/Pattie thing yet when I first wrote these. In light of later creative decisions, I think we should interpret the second panel as what Trigger IMAGINED was happening, based on what Layla told him afterwards.)
