(Historical Notes: Okay, before we continue with my art theory dissertation you never asked for, I do want to say that I actually DO like a couple of the costumes in this set, particularly this one.  If nothing else, I definitely did a better job of drawing it than a lot of the others.

But anyway, back to the self-criticism show.  Even setting aside the problems I have with the “You’re doing what you’d making fun of people doing” aspect… and that’s a LOT to set aside, because I really do get deeply annoyed when I see OTHER people do this crap, but moving on.  I just think it’s a lot funnier when the comedy is primarily COMEDY-driven, and not jokes being injected into the Big Idea that came first.  I mean, look at the format for these Incentives: one pig drawing of Layla showing off the costume, then a smaller drawing of her interacting with Tabitha, where the joke happens.  Even setting aside the self-defeating element of putting the skimpy costume up front, that’s not the FUNNY part!  The two characters having comedic dialog should be the main event, not a side attraction!)
