At first i thought perhaps he was hired to Nitpick on a planet whose culture was based around the ancient old west, but on second thought, now that you mention it, their culture is actually instead based entirely on the back to the future movies. (with frequent wars breaking out over various explanations for the massive inconsistencies and logical contradictions in said moves, that being what he was hire to nitpick, most likely)
