I dunno, we haven’t seen/heard Layla obsess over money in years (which admittedly is only a few days in comic time). Maybe she’s starting to figure out that’s not the thing that will make her happiest?
Well, that’s the very core of Layla’s journey as a character: the conflict between the greedy/selfish impulses and her better impulses. Like so many things in life, it’s not a matter of learning the lesson, it’s having the discipline to act on it regularly and consistently.
