(Historical Notes: So… I’m pretty sure we didn’t know about Ichabod’s girlfriend yet when I drew this. Granted, it’s not like we know much about her even now, but the point is I probably would have written this dialog differently if I’d known he was already taken.)
Ichabod isn’t displeased, he just can’t help his natural tendency to nitpick anything that seems inconsistent or out of place. Some candidates have to undergo extensive training in nitpicking before entering the guild – Ichabod just had to be trained to focus his natural-born nitpicking superpowers.
(Hopefully his girlfriend is not the obnoxious insecure controlling kind that gets bent out of shape at an innocent hug…but that wouldn’t surprise me either.)
Naw, it’s not giving anything away to say that if Ichabod’s girlfriend was insecure and controlling, she’d have stopped being his girlfriend ages ago.
