(Historical Notes: Another page that bugs me, ans even bugged me back in the day, though in this case I’m honestly not sure what I should have done differently.  Something about the “things fall in a different direction on the other side of the hole” gag doesn’t seem to be communicated as clearly as I would have liked.  Maybe because it’s not all that clear WHY Ichabod is suddenly falling through the hole in the first place?  Perhaps a few extra panels to more fully map out the process of his balance being thrown off because “down” is suddenly in a different direction that he’s not braced for?  I dunno.  It’s such an unnatural gag that I’m not sure what the “right” way to show it would even be.)
