(Historical Notes: …yeah, Vance is still crazy.  Again, this moment itself works just fine, but I wish we’d had a few more glimpses of full-on Crazy Vance earlier so that it’d hit that much harder that this isn’t just a case of his temper flaring up.  I mean, I doubt any reader would take it that way, or think Eric isn’t COMPLETELY justified in ditching the guy, but it still bugs me.  Likewise, part of me still wishes we’d seen more instances of Eric being cowardly, just so his growing a pair here would be that much more triumphant.  Granted, we ALREADY saw him tear a whole pack of robots apart with his bare hands, so it’s not quite as big an issue for me, but still…)
