(Historical Notes: See, this is what I was complaining about.  Ichabod makes these big dramatic “end of the episode” moments out of declaring he’s gonna do something, then IMMEDIATELY starts talking himself out of it, and back again, all due to thinking about somebody who isn’t even on screen.  Vance really really REALLY needed to actually DO something before this so that Ichabod would be directly reacting to something rather than just standing around and talking in circles.  And it’s a shame, because I really DO like the idea of what’s happening with Vance, Past Me just botched the execution pretty bad.)
