I don’t know, I can’t imagine Ichabod snickering at Layla behind her back rather than to her face and missing an opportunity to annoy her – it’s not as if she ever misses any opportunity to do the same.

Ichabod wouldn’t be intimidated, but he WOULD be mindful of what is or isn’t a valid use of his time. Even a nitpicker will occasionally know when criticizing something is just a waste of time (especially if he’s not getting paid for it)
I honestly feel like Layla likely enjoys teenybopper garbage, but is reluctant to admit it. And that while the Skyscraper Girls is her favorite BAND, her favorite MUSIC tends to be the stuff in movies aimed at 10 year old girls.
That’s a good point actually. There is her favorable impression of kiddie Princess Rheiko movies to suggest that, in her hurry to be as grown-up as possible, there’s a weakness for kiddy entertainment that she never really allowed herself to properly enjoy in the first place.
