But anyway, where were we?  Oh, right.  I mentioned earlier, in some Incentives involving Astrid, that the “Show, don’t Tell” axiom doesn’t always work the way it normally does where humor is concerned, specifically satire.  Very often, doing something for the specific purpose of showing how stupid is is to do that thing will just lead the audience to say “Yeah, but YOU still did it, so why am I listening to you?”  That, or the opposite will happen and the audience says “What are you talking about?  Doing that is AWESOME!”  Anime/manga in particular has a long, annoying history of botching that where fanservice is concerned.  Poe’s Law is an unforgiving mistress…)
