(Historical Notes: Oh man, this is even worse, though a lot of it is more subtle than the obvious problems of the previous page. On the one hand, the meat texture doesn’t obscure the line art QUITE as bad as that smoke picture in the last one, and it does fit the context of the image a lot better. On the other hand, the attempt to put some regular color on top of it is all kinds of wrong. I mean, Past Me was ABSOLUTELY wrong in trying to only color in Astrid’s hair and dress, but not her actual skin. Absolute mess there. Worse, unlike previous pages, the monster lady here actually looks fairly decent here. Sure the concept in general is a bit wrong for the Far Out There setting, since it’s not like I can really draw vividly detailed gore and have it fit the overall tone of the comic. But the raw steak texture still gets in the way of the art more than it compliments it, and that’s just not good.)
