Jenna’s Princess Cosplay Adventure – page 11
(Historical Notes: This is a subtle thing, but I like what this comic implies about BOTH the girls here. With Jenna, it’s fairly obvious. She’s eager to have a chance to hang out with a cute guy, because she has fanciful dreams of romance. At the same time, though, we get a nice reminder of how differently Tabitha’s brain works regarding this stuff. As we’ve seen to various degrees elsewhere, Tabitha doesn’t really get out much, and bases a lot of her assumptions about how people interact on… questionable sources. It actually doesn’t occur to her that any of this sort of thing could be considered “romantic,” she just thinks it’s how people play around. To be honest, I think they’re both a little off base here, but the point is, I like the contrast. Again, I actually find it to be a great strength to see how two of the most agreeable characters in Far Out There honestly DON’T have the greatest chemistry.)
