(Historical Notes: I just really like this gag of Eric being a genuinely nice guy while also being a completely unscrupulous thief. I really do wish I got more opportunities to do stuff with the guy… which is technically a spoiler, I guess.)

I started to say that, upon reflection, it’s a bit odd to think his kid would get much enjoyment out of a bag of glowy things… but we’ve seen some of the OTHER gifts that kid finds meaningful, so it’s totally not weird at all really.
I think pretty much anything that kid got from their Dad they would think was awesome, even if they’d roll their eyes at getting it from anyone else 😉
